There is good news coming out from NIH of the soon to be tested vaccine that holds the possibility of helping to prevent the spread of the Ebola disease. This comes as the US missionary Doctors infected by the virus while caring for the infected in an African country are said to be responding to treatment.
"While there currently no known cure for the Ebola virus, a vaccine is in development and could go to trial soon. Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Instutites of Health joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss treatment of the disease in the U.S."
As good as this news is, many are raising some valid questions at to the speed with which this news is coming out. Noting that this virus came to the limelight in 1976, it seems somewhat disturbing that, this is where we are today, in the fight against it. Do we have the right to have allowed those who died in the hands of this virus to die before the likelihood of the coming of this vaccine?
Here are some comments from concerned people,
Breast cancer gets a lot of attention and funding - allocate those funds into finding some kind of vaccine for the ebola virus.
"to discuss treatment of the disease in the US"
Is there any question now? If there is you are a brain dead zombie already!
Are you "calm" yet?
I'm #$%$!!!!!!
