The gunmen had trailed the Lagos-based businessman’s driver back home to the entrance of the house, where he was playing host to the late Ikwu.<br />An eyewitness, Ferdinad, told journalists that when the gunmen shot and killed his guest, policemen, who were escorts of the businessman took cover, returned fire and shot two of the gunmen dead, while the third person, was severely wounded but still managed to escape in a Sport Utility Vehicle.<br />The Anambra Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr Uche Ezeh, confirmed the incident, saying that investigations revealed that the gunmen were kidnappers, as some criminals in police custody identified one<br /><a href="" name="more"></a>of the gang members as their leader.</span></div> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><br /></span></div>
