Looking at these photos of Iraqi Christians being butchered for their faith, my heart bleeds, I wonder and ask myself, besides man, is there any of God's other creation that kills it's own kind just for fun? When did we descend so low from the ladder of humanity to the point where we're even worse of than animals? How come man has become so bloodthirsty? Where is the world going to?
Oh, Almighty God, accept the souls of these ones who have died for the sake of Your Holy Name and grant unto them Eternal Light and rest in Your Divine Presence. Amen
