All of your friends are going off to college and you feel left out, shied into a corner and stuffed into a box with the rest of your homeschooled friends.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">What’s worse is that maybe you’re old enough to have a boyfriend now and it seems like all of your friends have either been in a relationship or they are in one now. You’re the odd ball out on this one too.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Boys seem like uncharted territory to you. You wish you could crawl up into your bed, pull the covers over your head and just wait until the good times come to you.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">There are a million questions in your mind about decisions and choices, guys and girls, God and the world, school and your biblical calling.</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Let me explain one thing.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">If you have chosen to be a daughter who lives at home or if God has laid it on your heart to skip college you are not a “<em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">less than.”</em> You’re not less than the girl who’s pursuing a college degree; you’re not less than the girl who has the perfect hair and boyfriend.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">You are valuable and treasured by the King. I’m not saying girls who go to college are bad. Some of my best friends go to college.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I simply want to share a personal message with the girls who have chosen to pursue family and biblical womanhood at home.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">If you are that girl I encourage you to keep the following in mind:</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">College, guys (or the idea of a boyfriend), and the perfect stereo-type lifestyle can be distractions.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The enemy can use these things to keep your mind in a state of discontentment and unhappiness. It’s the same thing when a Christian is tempted or distracted by secular music and movies and an unholy lifestyle.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The devil knows your weaknesses and uses things or people of the world to make you discontent with the lifestyle or calling that God has so firmly established in your heart.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">If you are insecure in your thinking, your thinking patterns will affect your attitude and your attitude will affect your decision making, which will ultimately affect your life. All of this will, in a harmful way, affect your walk with the Lord.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">The devil is smart and ruthless.</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">He doesn’t let up for a minute. He knows where and how hard to hit you with little snares and traps. He wants to keep you from experiencing God’s joy and love and freedom in your life.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The devil wants everything to be about <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">you.</em> And as fallen human beings, it’s easy to be tricked and caught in the devil’s evil wiles. That’s why it is so important that you accept the fact that Satan is a tough opponent.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">He can make you slip up, but he can not conquer.</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Jesus says in John 16:33, “In the world you will have tribulation; but take heart, I have overcome the world.”</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">We need to guard our hearts and put on the full armor of Christ as the true warriors that He has called us to be.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Eph. 6:10-13 (Read the rest of Chapter 6 to see what the armor of God is and how it can help you!)</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">You are wrestling with the world and the prince of this world from the moment you open your eyes in the morning.</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">But you’re not alone.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">You have the Creator of the universe on your side! When you catch your thoughts of discontentment or when you notice that you are doubting God’s Sovereign plan for your life and confess those thoughts as sin, you are, by the power of the Holy Spirit, trampling Satan’s attacks on your heart.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">God already has the victory. He has already crushed the enemy. All you need to do is trust Him.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Don’t question where God has you right now, dear girl.</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">When you do that, you are actually calling God a fraud. You are telling God, “You’re wrong God, I wasn’t meant for this kind of life. I want things to be my way. This needs to happen and that needs to be mine.”</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">You are becoming the lord of your own life and trust me, you don’t want that to happen. You hear over and over again that God has everything under control and that everything happens for a reason.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">But in your heart of hearts, do you really trust that?</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Isaiah 29:13 says, “These people draw near with their mouths, and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men…”</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">You need to believe that what God says is true. He does have a greater and more awesome plan for you than anything you can imagine.</span></div> <h1 style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Here are 4 ways that can help you trust Jesus and fight off the devil at the same time:</span></strong></h1> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">1.</strong> Read at least one chapter in the Bible every day. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He combated Satan with scripture (Matt. 4). You can do the same! This will also mature your faith in Christ.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">2.</strong> Get busy! Try to involve yourself in ministry in some way. There are so many resources and ways that you can help out. They say “idle hands are the devil’s workshop.” Don’t give him that opportunity.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">3.</strong> Worship. Don’t compromise with the world by filling your head with garbage. Worshiping the Lord with songs of encouragement can help to guard your heart and mind.</span></div> <div style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">4.</strong> Surround yourself with friends that will uplift you. Fellowship is sweet and a blessing from the Lord. I No Longer Want To Be Lesbian

I have been a lesbian for about 12 years and I know that it is high time I stopped. She was in her first trimester and her husband needs to travel out of the country, my aunt asked me to stay with her because there was no one else available,  also because I had just finished my Senior Secondary School examinations and I had nothing doing.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I gladly went to the city, because she was my favourite cousin and I know that I would really enjoy myself with her. I never knew destiny had something else in stock for me. </span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">When I arrived at her house, I met a friend of hers who was already helping her before I came. I later learnt that she arrived from Italy few days before I came in from the village. When I saw the situation on ground, I saw that instead of helping my cousin, she was more or less adding to her burden.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">She would seat and wait for her to make food, she couldn’t  help tidy the house and she was always smoking and drinking alcohol. I made up my mind to help my cousin and that was what I did. I really couldn’t say if the fact that I was hard working as she claimed actually endeared me to her as she said or the fact that she found me attractive as she later said.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">It all began one day when my cousin went to work, her friend called me into her room and told me she liked the fact that I was hard working and also that my skin was fair even without the use of any bleaching cream.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">She started stroking my arm. Initially, I thought nothing of it, but when it turned into a caress, I made to leave the room. She was stronger and she said I should calm down as I will enjoy what she wanted to teach me.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I wasn’t stupid enough not to know about sex, I was 16, but I was naïve, I didn’t know anything about homosexuality or lesbianism. In fact, I was a virgin. She moved her hand gradually from my arm and cupped my breast and fondled my nipples. I became aroused. I really couldn’t describe the feeling then, but I can say now that I know better.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">While she was at it, although, I enjoyed what I felt, but inside of me, I knew something was not right. I told her that, and then she asked if I had a boyfriend. I told her I was a virgin. She replied that what she was about to teach me will allow me to enjoy sexual pleasures without getting pregnant.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">That was how it all started and she warned me not to tell my cousin she would not like it. She also made me realise that my sister got herself knocked up by a man who might probably be enjoying himself with another woman where he was.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">She made me see the bad side of men, I had no choice than to tow her line and believe her because even my own father didn’t help matters, as he always maltreated my mother and was irresponsible. She would give me gifts and I would sneak into her room at night. Eventually, I moved into her room and we began our affairs without inhibition.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">My cousin didn’t know that anything was going on, she only said it once that my relationship with her friend was more cordial, she liked it that way because it made things easier at home.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Without realising it, I became addicted to making love with my cousin’s friend, in fact, without knowing it; she deflowered me in the heat of passion one night. She thought me how to give her pleasure and she also did same to me.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">At the initial stage, I didn’t really hate boys, I still had male admirers, but whenever my cousin’s friend saw me with any of the boys in the locality, she gets very angry. Sometimes, she would offer me expensive gifts. </span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">We were into each other so much that I didn’t go home to see my mother when she fell ill. I got admission into the Polytechnic and she more or less footed all my bills. By this time, she had rented her own apartment and she used to travel to Italy to bring in clothes, shoes and accessories for sale.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I was one of the best dressed in school, courtesy my cousins friend and gradually she began to introduce me to some of her other friends. I also got connected with girls like me in school. I am pretty, so I was never shot of admirers; in fact a lot of them courted me with money and other goodies.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">By the time I finished my Ordinary National Diploma (OND), my mother had started asking me to bring a suitor home. She didn’t know that I was into women. During my one year attachment, she took me to Italy with her, and unfortunately, I was introduced to hard drugs.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">By the time I went back to school for my Higher National Diploma (HND), I have become a big girl and into a lot of vices. My mother and cousin and even my siblings wanted to know the source of my wealth, but I never told them.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I have finished school and I am into business now, all courtesy of my contacts and network. Sincerely, I am living well. Being the first child of my family, my mother especially is on my neck to bring home a man and get married. The unfortunate thing, however, is that such is the last thing on my mind. </span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">My refusal to bring a man home, is equally delaying my sisters marriage. The turnaround for me however was what happened to a friend and mate of mine few weeks ago. Two of them, had a quarrel over a trivial issue and they stabbed themselves and bled to death. My cousin’s friend who also introduced me to the sexual preference has also become a shadow of herself.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 10px;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Plus the fact that my mother weeps every time she sees me. I really desire to have a changed lifestyle, but I don’t know how to. I can’t open up publicly about my life style because I already have a name. Her boyfriend has broken up with her. Each day the 26-year-old eats alone and sleeps alone. Even her own family members are afraid to touch her months after she survived Ebola.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Long gone are the days when she was vomiting blood and wracked by fever. And even with a certificate of health declaring her as having recovered, she says it's still as though "Ebola survivor" is burned on her flesh.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">"Ebola has ruined my life even though I am cured," she says. "No one wants to spend a minute in my company for fear of being contaminated."</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The Ebola virus is only transmitted through direct contact with bodily fluids of the sick, such as blood, saliva, urine, sweat or semen. When the first cases emerged in Guinea back in March, no one had ever confronted such a virulent and gruesome disease in this corner of Africa.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The current outbreak now has killed more than 1,000 people, according to the latest figures from the World Health Organization. The fatality rate in previous Ebola outbreaks has been up to 90 percent, though health officials say this time up to half of victims are surviving.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">While there is no specific treatment for Ebola, patients can be given supportive care such as intravenous fluids to keep them hydrated. After four days I couldn't hide anymore, I was too sick. An Ebola ambulance collected me and took me to the hospital," he recalls.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">But some within his community are reluctant to have any physical contact with Kemokai. Those released from treatment centers are no longer contagious, though Ebola can still be present in men's semen for up to seven weeks.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Kemokai will have more family support than most: His older brother and sister also have survived Ebola, while the disease took their mother's life.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Fanta, the Guinean medical student, says she was working as an intern at a clinic in Conakry, the capital, when a patient came in from the provinces sick with what doctors initially thought was malaria. She took the man's vital signs — but as is common in Guinea — she had no protective gloves or face mask.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">About two weeks later, in mid-March, she started having diarrhea and soon was vomiting blood. She says her lasting troubles began when doctors declared her cured and discharged her from the isolation ward at the hospital in early April.</span></div> <div style="margin-bottom: 1.1em;"> <span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Although she no longer had the virus in her bloodstream, she still was visibly unwell after nearly three weeks in the hospital.
