<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Where it all began.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I was in sixth grade and knew exactly how to work it. Every girl at church camp liked the same guy and I was determined to get his attention.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">He was cute, popular and I wanted nothing less than for him to like me. I wasn’t interested in a relationship or anything serious because I was only 12 years old. I just liked the way I felt when I had his attention.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I clearly remember the situation. We were playing knock out (a basketball game) on the camp sports court. I made my shot and then went in to lure my prey. I ran over towards him with my flirty face ready to go and grabbed the green bandana from around his neck.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Was I cool or what?!? I now had “Mr. Popular Boy’s” bandana and we were in a steal and chase game. Naturally he started chasing after me trying to get his bandana back or to steal mine. He was laughing, I was smiling and life felt good.</span></div>
<h1 dir="ltr" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">I had his attention and the other girls were jealous. Major score!</span></strong></h1>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">That is until I left camp, made it home and needed more attention. Mr. Popular was gone and I was back at ground zero. Life was boring and I needed another boy to make me feel good.</span></div>
<h1 dir="ltr" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">The flirting continues.</span></strong></h1>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I wish I could tell you that my flirting started and stopped with me being 12 years old, but that’s just simply not true. My days of flirting really continued until I graduated from high school and started thinking seriously about guys and romance.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">If I were left to myself I would most likely still be the “Flirting Queen.” Thankfully God didn’t leave me to myself. Due to the incredible insight and wisdom of my parents and close friends, I was finally able to see the truth about flirting.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I’m definitely not perfect and continue to grow and learn every day, but I am grateful to say that I’ve come a long way in this area.</span></div>
<h1 dir="ltr" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Do you enjoy flirting?</span></strong></h1>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">If you (like me) are a “flirting queen” or just enjoy a good flirt here and there, this post is for you. Even if you’ve never flirted a day in your life keep reading.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">As silly as that little story I just told sounds, it brings out a great point. Think this through with me. In my personal experience flirting typically has one person in mind – ME! I’m doing it to make ME feel good, to make ME look popular, to give ME something to brag about.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">When I think back on my flirting moments (which I am not proud of), I have to confess that each of one them was very self-focused. In the moment I was truly only concerned about one person, <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">me</strong></em>.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">As embarrassing as this is to confess, <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> really did flirt because <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> liked what <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> got out of it. <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> liked the attention <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> got from guys and it was an easy way to give myself an ego boost. <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> enjoyed having guys “like” me and <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> liked have someone/something to think about as <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I</strong> fell asleep. *Wow! That’s a lot of <strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">I’s</strong>*.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">With that being said, I want to share with you my current take on flirting and why I’m no longer striving to be the flirting queen.</span></div>
<h1 dir="ltr" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Here is a quick dictionary definition of the word flirting:</span></strong></h1>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">According to the Merriam-Webster, flirting is to:</span></div>
<ul style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 39px;">
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">behave without serious intent.</span></li>
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">to show superficial or casual interest or liking.</span></li>
</ul>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">The word is also synonymous with the word <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">trifle</em>, which means <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">something of little value.</em></span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Hmmm, according to that definition flirting doesn’t sound very thoughtful or loving. It sounds pretty…well…selfish. When I stop and evaluate flirting with that definition in mind, I realize how selfish my days of flirting really were. They were without serious intent and were totally superficial and casual.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">I wasn’t concerned about building the guy up as my brother in Christ. I wasn’t concerned about his heart and protecting him. I wasn’t concerned about pointing his eyes towards Christ. Nope, not at all. I was truly only concerned about one thing, me.</span></div>
<h1 dir="ltr" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Giving up on the flirting game.</span></strong></h1>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">As I thought through this topic, I kept coming back to one verse. It really clinched my heart. Check it out:</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<em style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4).</em></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Yikes! My flirting has <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">always</em> been totally selfish. It’s not been with the<em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"> guys</em> in mind but with <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">me</em> in mind.</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Now that I am a grown Christian woman who understands God’s Word and understands that I am a daughter of the King of the Universe, I can’t continue on in ignorance. That verse says to do <em style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><strong style="border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;">nothing</strong></em>from selfish ambition. I’m pretty sure that “do nothing from selfish ambition” would include flirting.</span></div>
<h1 dir="ltr" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<strong style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0); border: 0pt none; margin: 0pt; outline: invert none 0pt; padding: 0pt;"><span style="font-size: small;">Why do you flirt?</span></strong></h1>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Okay, enough of my confessions and flirting stories. I want to focus on you. Ask yourself this simple question: why do you flirt?</span></div>
<div dir="ltr" style="padding: 0px 29px; text-align: left;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Be honest with yourself. Think back to a time when you have flirted and ask yourself why you did it. What’s going on in your mind and in your heart when you’ve flirted with a guy?</span></div>
<ul style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 39px;">
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Was your goal to build him up in Christ or was it to pull his attention and affections towards you?</span></li>
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Were you concerned about his feelings and his heart? Or, were you concerned about making yourself feel good?</span></li>
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">What happened when the flirting moment was over? Did you find lasting satisfaction from that moment?</span></li>
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">Can you honestly say that God was glorified from the different times you flirted?</span></li>
<li style="list-style: disc; margin-bottom: 6px; padding: 3px; position: relative; text-align: left;"><span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);">How does Philippians 2:3-4 match up with your excuses for flirting?</span></li>

9 Obvious Signs a Man is Flirting With That Other Woman

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
<div>
<img alt="Obvious Signs a Guy Is Flirting with You" class="size-full wp-image-1085" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Obvious-Signs-a-Guy-Is-Flirting-with-You1.jpg?62d6e5" style="font-style: italic; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" width="500" /></div>
<div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 1.5em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><span style="font-size: large;"> Here are 9 ways that men unconsciously and even consciously let a woman know that they like her, even when it is inappropriate or a sinful likeness. Please, be careful not to become a watch dog over your husband or to be too quick in conclusions. </span></span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 1.5em; padding: 0px;">
<b><span style="font-size: large;">9. Fidgeting</span></b></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 1.5em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="font-size: large;">Women fidget when they are around the man they like. In the same way, if you notice a man always fidgeting when in front of a particular lady then, know that it is likely that he’s interested in her and he is a bit nervous to start conversation with her.</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<h2 style="margin: 0px; padding: 10px 0px 15px;">
<span style="font-weight: normal;">Ladies, who know these things easily flirt back and the rest becomes story, except something happens to deliver the man's mind and thoughts from his lust. So, woman, take care of your husband and learn to humbly, lovingly and jokingly bring his mind back when you see it drifting. Don't fight, because you will lose at the end of the day. If you pick up quarrel with him, what will you have as evidence? Take care and take charge.</span></h2>
</div>
<div>
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><b><span style="font-size: large;">8. Raised eyebrows</span></b></span></div>
<div>
<div>
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><img alt="Raised eyebrows" class="size-full wp-image-1093" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Raised-eyebrows1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;" width="500" /></span><span style="font-size: large;">This is an old and popular way men usually give themselves away, when before a lady that they have developed interest in. Yes, men may hide their eyes when they are around a woman they have developed affections for. But, that us because they like her and may not want another to 'catch them'. Watch out, whenever she is around and talking he will unconsciously keep his eyebrows a little bit raised as well. If his eyes are widened and his eyebrows remain raised while she is talking, this is a definite sign he is flirting with her, may be in the mind, first. Watch for it and you’ll surely see it</span>!</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<h2 style="margin: 0px; padding: 10px 0px 15px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><span style="font-size: large;">7. Dilated pupils</span></span></h2>
<div>
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><img alt="Dilated pupils" class="size-full wp-image-1094" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Dilated-pupils1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;" width="500" /></span><span style="font-size: large;">Sometimes, if not all of the times, our eyes give us away when we don’t want them to. When we are attracted to someone or something our pupils dilate and they become larger. When we don’t like someone or something, our pupils contract. If you notice that the eyes of the your husband keep dilating in front of that woman, it’s one of the most obvious signs he adores her, in his mind, and is highly interested in her.</span></div>
<h2 style="margin: 0px; padding: 10px 0px 15px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><span style="font-size: large;">6. Head Tilts</span></span></h2>
<div>
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><img alt="Head Tilts" class="size-full wp-image-1105" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Head-Tilts1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;" width="500" /></span><span style="font-size: large;">Watch out when your husband begin to give attention to any particular woman or girl, always giving rapt attention whenever she is talking, with smiles all over his face. The way a man tilts his head can also signify that he likes a woman. If he tilts the head towards her, this means he’s listening attentively to each word she says, even when he may be very poor when it comes to paying attention whenever the wife is talking. This also means he’s really attuned to what she is talking about and he’s really interested and enjoying having conversation with her.</span></div>
</div>
<h2 style="margin: 0px; padding: 10px 0px 15px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><span style="font-size: large;">5. A flirting touch</span></span></h2>
<div>
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><img alt="A flirting touch" class="size-full wp-image-1091" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/A-flirting-touch1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;" width="500" /></span><span style="font-size: large;">W</span><span style="font-size: large;">hen your husband begins to behave in such a way that he is no longer careful such that he touches a woman or girl without reason for it, then know it’s definitely a sign he is lusting and likes that other woman. I have witnessed where this happened. I guess the brother, in fact, someone in ministry, didn't realize what he did? The Sister, whom he so carelessly touched showed great sign of shame and shock but this brother was so lost to even be aware of the people around.  Later, when it seem he suspected that everyone was not happy with what he did, he came up with a story to try to divert attention. When your husband becomes fond of touching ladies accidentally, this is absolutely another sign to watch for. It means he is trying to send a message and to get her attention. Next is that, if you carefully observe him, you will see that he will always find any excuse to continue conversation with her. Those women or ladies who are smart enough and who are open to such men usually respond through making it possible for the conversation to linger more than necessary. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>4. Mirroring</b></span></div>
<div>
<h2 style="margin: 0px; padding: 10px 0px 15px;">
<img alt="Mirroring" class="size-full wp-image-1089" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Mirroring1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px;" width="500" /></h2>
</div>

<span style="font-size: large;">Sometimes men mirror woman’s actions without even knowing it. Mirroring is another sign he is flirting with another woman. This ranges from mirroring blink rates to mirroring manner of speaking. For instance, you are laughing and he is laughing as well. The thing is, it’s natural for us to mirror something we love. So, it is not a mistake, when you realize that your husband just enjoys having a good laugh, whenever that other woman is also laughing. These men use mirroring to unconsciously send a message which ladies, who are open to such ungodly attention, usually cash in on.</span></div>

Eye contact is important during communication and people use this form of body language as often as they can. Flirting men usually look more than necessary, at another woman while their wives are right beside them. Depending on how long a man holds an eye contact with another woman, you can find out whether or not he likes her. If he holds an eye contact with her for longer than an average person, it might be a sign he is interested in her. The truth is that, both women and men make eye contact when flirting. So, watch out and know when your husband's mind and thoughts are racing away from you and trying to stick on someone else. </span></div>

<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><span style="font-size: large;">2. Shy blush</span></span></h2>
<div style="margin-bottom: 1.5em; margin-top: 1.5em; padding: 0px;">
<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><img alt="Shy blush" class="size-full wp-image-1087" height="333" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Shy-blush1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;" width="500" /></span><span style="font-size: large;">Women don't find it easy flirting with shy men but many of them are still open to such men. Woman, when you notice that your husband is always blushing around a particular woman, remember that, this is one of the most obvious signs he is trying or wouldn't mind flirting with that woman, if given the opportunity. Though it is true that, not only do shy men blush, any man can actually blush when he sees a beautiful girl. Blushing is a bodily function that we can’t control and if man blushes around a particular woman often, then know that he certainly likes her.</span></div>

<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><span style="font-size: large;">1. Lovely smile</span></span></h2>

<span style="background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);"><img alt="Lovely smile" class="size-full wp-image-1086" height="347" src="http://womanitely.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Lovely-smile1.jpg?62d6e5" style="margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: center;" width="500" /> </span><span style="font-size: large;">A lovely smile is actually a good sign and, when it comes to flirting, it’s one of the surest signs to know that a man is interested in a woman/girl out there. If you notice that your husband is smiling at another woman/girl, there’s a good chance he likes that woman/girl and wants to approach her. So, you see why some bold ladies take the first step. Being smart, when these ladies notice his smile, they usually take the first step. They usually assume that he is shy to take the step, so they wait for the best moment to show him their confidence and courage by approaching him first? Especially, if they like the man as well. In their 'world', there is nothing to be ashamed of in approaching a man first. So, they smile back, initiate a conversation with him and never try to play hard to get. They understand that when women play hard to get, it brings a great boost, but often it’s usually a big turn off for such flirty men.</span></div>
